Tashan ka tashan!

GeeOne: Apna to jeena ...Tashan mein Tashan mein ... Wassup Maan!

GeeRo: Dude, it's not the cool song to sing anymore. Haven't you heard, TASHAN bombed like anything on the box office.

GeeOne: Oh, I know, I've heard the same stories but the movie ain't ALL that bad yaar.

GeeRo: It isn't? You mean ...? Saale ...when did you watch the movie? Didn't even call me?

GeeOne: Abey I called you up last night so many times about coming to the movie with us but you wouldn't pick your damn phone.

GeeRo: Abey the batteries died yaar searching for network inside that stupid building of mine. Saala I have to keep the phone in the balcony of my flat to catch the network. Anyway, lucky you buddy. It was probably the last show of the movie. It's a total surprise man - how could a Yashraj movie flop like that? I mean I know they have been making crap movies for the last couple of years but I thought the jazzy star cast and especially the Saif-Kareena thing would hold it on for sometime. But who could tell that the movie would have to be brought down within a week of its release?

GeeOne: Hey hey - hang on brother. Your tongue needs a little rest. Where did you get all this info?

GeeRo: Just heard over the news man. Plus I went to PVR for a ticket but they didn't have Tashan at any of the slots; so you know they have taken it off! It's so bad man - I guess I would have still gone for a dekko.

GeeOne: The multiplexes don't have it man.

GeeRo: They don't?

GeeOne: Yup! Yashraj acted pricey at the last moment; people say they do so every time but this time the distributors kinda said F*** Off to them and so somehow only the solo cinema halls got to screen it. That's where I saw it last night.

GeeRo: Duuuuude! Tell you what - I don't even know if there was a solo cinema in our city brother! How is it there yaar? Do they have AC n all there? Any Nachos or Ice Tea there? Or is it just patties and veggie burgers with that dried up cabbage passed up as lettuce?

GeeOne: Well they've got AC and nice food too. It's not as stylish as the multiplexes but it's definitely got the goods. And dude I tell you this movie isn't all the bad it's made out to be. It's better than many of the movies being done today. Yeah, there's some loose direction in the second half of the movie and not much of a script but I guess that's how most of the movies are these days, right? Start off well and then somewhere midway, it seems the writers felt like pissing but they were made to finish the script before they could relieve themselves.

GeeRo: Wow! That explains why scripts stink so much - you've got some imagination dude. But do you think they did it on purpose?

GeeOne: What? Write a stinking script? Could be - to laugh around in their luxury homes and parties talking about how stupid the junta of this country is - lapping up anything and everything thrown to them in the name of Bollywood glamour!

GeeRo: Hey, you got a point there too! But what I meant was - did these guys spread the news of it being a flop n all themselves? They probably wanna show it as a flop so they can show some losses and get away without paying some taxes. Pretty much like my brother-in-law does every year by showing a loss in his business so he can pay almost zero taxes. What say?

GeeOne: Bhai wah! Amazing dude. You have been spending too much time with your stocks and investments. Yash Raj damning his own film to save taxes ... hmmm! Interesting perspective but I guess this strategy is gonna make this movie even more of a hit. Once this comes to multiplexes, all those guys roaming around the malls with no real purpose other than oodling at all those chicks would eventually go to watch either the size zero Kareena or the Saif dude and the real dude of them all Akki! And since there has been so much bad publicity about this movie, people will find it not sooooo bad. So the word-of-mouth publicity will probably make it a bigger hit than it could have ever been otherwise!

GeeRo: Whatever buddy! Time for me to go the office for some work, yes on a weekend! That's my life! Let's hope it releases soon in PVR or Adlabs - I can then go and watch it one of these days if there is a Kolkata IPL match on TV that night.

GeeOne: Haha - you are wicked mate! Take care. TTYL!
